| The
five- (5) steps are as follows: Good Balanced Diet, Exercise, Good Water,
Fiber, and Dietary Supplements.
GOOD BALANCED
DIET-fifty (50) percent to be made up of carbohydrates. Not simple
but complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.
Twenty-five (25) percent in the form of proteins and the remainder twenty-five
(25) percent in fats. Good fats are essential; however, of the twenty-five
percent only FIVE (5) percent should be saturated fats. The good fats
are mono and polyunsaturated fats.
EXERCISE-a
must for all individuals no matter what AGE. This does not necessarily
mean that you must join a fitness club; however, I highly recommend clubs.
Walking is the most abundant form and most accessible, but there are techniques
and good shoes necessary to get the greatest benefit.
GOOD WATER-what
do we mean good water? Most often asked question. Drinking at least sixty-four
(64) ounces per day of good clean filtered water. There is good reason
to drink filtered water since many contaminants can get through municipal
systems undetected.
FIBER-twenty-five
(25) to thirty-five (35) grams of dietary fiber every day. Become a good
label reader in your grocery shopping and this will be very helpful in
full filling this daily requirement.
DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS-essential
to living a healthy lifestyle. Seek out a professional who can assist
you in your daily need. Every individual lifestyle is different and a
good supplement program should be designed around this lifestyle. An extremely
important issue in this determination is getting the products that give
you the best absorption and assimilation into the blood stream. All supplements
are not alike.
